Botanical Wall Hanging

Description

Using wool, I took eucalyptus leaves and seeds and wrapped them in a tight bundle and steamed them in an iron mordant.  The mordant affixes the colors from the tannins into the wool making a permanent print.  The results are a one-of-a-kind beautiful wall hanging.  The wool is then stretched on a canvas and a hanger is added and ready to hang!  You could also choose to hang it length wise.  The print measures 12×24 inches.
