Nuno Felted Shibori Dyed Scarf

Description

Textured gauze silk was tied and dyed in indigo using the ancient Japanese art of Shibori.  The result is geometric designs throughout the silk.  I then wet felted the silk with brown cashmere and merino wool to create a lovely, soft and subtle scarf.  The scarf measures 53” l x 12” wide.  Because of the two different fibers, the scarf can be worn with the sil side out or the wool side out.
