Shibori Dyed Small Clutch

Description

This small clutch started with a silk gauze fabric that was hand dyed with turmeric and then tied in the Japanese tradition of shibori.  The patterned that emerges when overdyed in purple creates a beautiful design.  The silk was then wet felted with black merino wool creating a strong, yet supple fabric.  Finished with a vintage button.  Measures 8” L x4” W
